Joey Pineda

LEAD PASTOR

Joey Pineda is honored to serve as the Lead Pastor at GCF West. Joey enjoys sharing God’s word with others and has had the privilege of teaching at Sunday services, men’s events, youth camps, conferences, and during mission trips to Mexico, Poland, Ukraine and The Republic of Georgia.

He holds a B.A. from Houston Baptist University and an M.Ed. from Lamar University. He enjoys volunteering in the community through organizations such as the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Go Texan Committee, Lamar CISD, The City of Simonton, and the Central Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce. 

He and his wife Brittany are the proud parents of two sons, Daniel and Gabriel. Both Joey and Brittany were longtime educators in Lamar CISD and have been married since 2006. If you can’t find Joey at the church, he is most likely firing up his barbecue pit or playing outside with his boys. Joey and Brittany have been a part of Grace Ministries International for over 25 years and members of GCF West since it was first launched in 2010.

Fran Rowe

PASTOR

Since October 2010, Fran Rowe has been happily married to Heidi, and they share a loving bond as parents and grandparents. Moving from New York to Texas in 2014, Fran embarked on a new chapter. A proud US Army veteran, Fran served his country with honor, carrying with him the values of discipline and dedication to service. With over 25 years of experience in the demolition industry, Fran’s expertise led him to establish his own demolition business in 2019. When not immersed in his work, he enjoys outdoor pursuits like hunting, shooting, camping, racing, and competing in BBQ cook-offs.

David Sadowski

PASTOR

David has a deep passion for seeing lives transformed by the Gospel and the Kingdom of God advanced. David has served in ministry in various capacities throughout his life, often in  bi-vocational roles, faithfully balancing ministry and professional leadership. Throughout the years, he has had the privilege of serving as a missionary, church planter, and elder, where his passion for sharing the hope of Jesus and equipping believers has continued to grow.

A graduate of Texas Tech University, David built successful careers in the corporate world before answering God’s call to full-time ministry. His unique blend of ministry experience and professional leadership allows him to connect with people from all walks of life and lead with both vision and practical wisdom.

David and Jacqueline (“Jac”), have been married since August 2018 and are blessed with three boys—Levi, Caden, and Jackson. As a family, they cherish spending quality time together and creating lasting memories through adventure and exploration. Whether traveling, skiing, hiking, camping, or enjoying the outdoors, they love experiencing God’s creation and sharing life together.

Their greatest desire is to see people encounter Jesus, grow in their faith, and discover the purpose God has for their lives.

Jim Beaver

ELDER

Jim and Katie married in 1972, have three children and seven grandchildren, all living in the Houston area. Jim graduated from the University of Kentucky, and in 1974 was called into full time ministry, leading small groups and providing marital counseling at their church.

Jim and Katie moved to the Dallas / Ft Worth area to assist in a church plant in 1981, continuing to lead small groups, provide counseling, while working in computer software sales. In 2007, Jim became lead pastor at GCF Hurst, retired in 2021, and moved to Sugar Land in 2023 to briefly serve as interim pastor at GCF West.

Jim and Katie’s passion is to help people discover more of what God has for them personally, in their families, and in their God-given purpose in life. Jim enjoys cooking with Katie, having others into their home, and most anything outside.

Nick Smith

ELDER

Nick has been married since 2008 to his wife Lisa. They have five young children, Brooklyn, Josiah, Annalise, Emory, and Brynlee.

He graduated from Texas Tech University with a Mechanical Engineering degree and works as Director for an oil & gas company. Nick has many hobbies; he loves traveling, shooting, hunting and any outdoor activity with his family. 

Nick has a passion to see people walking in the destiny, calling and purpose God has created them to walk in.

Richard Gasdia

ELDER

Richard and Sonya Gasdia have been married since 1984 with two grown children and six grandchildren. Richard grew up in Maryland and graduated from Frostburg State University in Cumberland, Maryland. Richard is retired and enjoys bicycles, and has finished multiple marathons and MS 150’s from Houston to Austin. Sonya (retired CPA) is currently the church’s bookkeeper.

David Waterfield

ELDER

David serves as an elder at GCF West and leads the Freedom Ministry, where he is passionate about helping people encounter Jesus, walk in freedom, and live out their identity in Christ. He has a heart for discipleship and for seeing people grow into spiritual maturity and purpose.

In his professional life, David works in executive leadership within the energy industry, where he focuses on building strong teams and healthy organizations. He brings that same intentionality into ministry, helping others apply biblical truth in practical ways.

David has been married to Sally since 2009, and they have attended GCF West since 2019 along with their three children.

Kari Williams

OFFICE & MINISTRY COORDINATOR

Kari Williams is the church office and ministry coordinator here at GCF West but has been serving the church for many years with her husband Sean.  Kari along with her husband are raising four wonderful children together, teaching them about the importance of walking with Jesus and walking into the destinies God has for them.  Kari is originally from a small town in Wisconsin before she eventually landed in the great state of Texas.  Her background working in multiple school districts, as well as managing her home, has allowed her to cultivate highly polished skills such as organization, time management, multi-tasking, and communication.  Kari loves God, loves her family, loves her church, …. and she also loves house plants too.
